Indicator(s) allows you to visually arrange your Dock application icons into different sections. They are in fact separators for your Dock. Yes, they allow neat and efficient arrangements, such as a section of your Dock for applications you use for researching.

Clear icon separators are included as a part of Indicator(s), which you may find more appropriate for your Dock experience:

 Although designed for use on Mac OS X v10.4, you may still use it on Leopard, Mac OS X v10.5 and below. It is also designed to not be open, or take up memory, so they automatically quit when accidently clicked on.
